Unzip and create ZIP files
Zip98 enables you to create and extract from ZIP files. This standalone program doesn't impose itself on Explorer, File Manager, or your Web browser but does everything you would ever want to do while working with ZIP files. Features include support for wildcards, passwords, disk spanning, and the ability to repair corrupted ZIP files. In addition, you can easily create self-extracting 16- and 32-bit files with an included module. You can also use Zip98 to extract GZIP, TAR, ZOO, LHA, CAB, RAR, UUDECODE, and ARJ files and to create LHA, CAB, and UUENCODE files. A wizard is available to help you make regular or self-extracting ZIP files. Despite a few minor cosmetic problems, Zip98 is powerful, easy to use, and well documented, making it a strong contender in its field. Reviewed on Nov 9 1998.
